i am a smoothie lover.
i could have them every day and never tire.
and now i love them even more after my sissy told me about adding oats to the mix!
it seriously tastes like ice cream! but extremely healthy for you!

a peanut buttery berry shake!

just blend:
6 ice cubes
1-2 scoops chocolate *whey protein powder
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/4 cut steel cut oats
1 cup water or orange juice
1/4 cup berries or half a frozen banana
mix it all up until creamy & smooth


*i am in search of a delicious whey powder that only contains stevia as the sweetener. i know they're out there, just not sure which one tastes the best. anyone know of a good one?

  2. I drink a protein shake almost every morning for breakfast. Started doing it after I read Trainer Momma's post. That shake looks so yummy. I'm going to have to give it a try. I don't have the chocolate protein, just vanilla. I wonder if that would taste as good. Do you have a Costco membership? I use EAS Premium Protein powder. I can only find it at Costco and it was recommended by Trainer Momma. I thought it was Whey, but now I'm not so sure. The ingredients say whey and the bag says it's for people who are lactose intolerant. Check it out though. I LOVE IT!! It's funny how a protein powder can make or break the taste of your shake. If you have anymore good shake recipies, let me know.

  4. okay, so i found a whey powder sweetened only with stevia (as all natural sugarless sweetener)
    the brand is Jay Robb ( i bought mine at whole foods. it's a bit more expensive (i was buying the costco EAS kind too) but i'm on an anti artificial sweetener kick right now, so i think it's worth it... it tastes great :)
