[home office: blue baby!]

for ever and ever, i've always loved the color blue!  maybe it's because my mom always dressed me in
blue to match my eyes, or it may be due to the fact that it's known for tranquility and calmness.
they say blue can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly.  almost everyone likes some shade of the
color blue.
in many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the
bad spirits away.
to me it screams clean & fresh, yet comfortable.
have you ever taken the color personality test?  i'm 95% blue, what are you?
this blue (above) is the color we plan to paint here in our home office.
sam surprised me one night and rolled out this swatch (above) on one of the walls to see how it'll look.
now have to do it, right?  i really think it will make all the white furniture POP.  i can't wait!
to really finish it off, we plan to hang a large heavy white crown moulding around the top and paint these ceilings white too.

here are a few more pics to share with you after a couple of them were featured last week on 6th street design
a big thank you to kirsten!  it was such an honor!
a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils.
my sister kate and i always quote this line, but it's so necessary to have lots of readily available pencils
with kids!  now do they put them back when they're done?  i'm working on that.
did you download the freebie did you think to pray? print yet?  if not, go here to grab it!
now back to the real world after a fun filled holiday weekend!
happy blogging!

  1. I totally agree with you about the color "Blue". I love it, always have. I have strayed away from it but always come back. By the way, I just found your blog today and I just LOVE IT! Can't wait to go back and read some of your older posts.

  2. What a gorgeous color! I am loving blues in a big way these days and am painting many of my rooms different shades of blue as a result. What color is that on the swatch? It will totally pop with your white office furniture! Just found you today and am a new follower. :-)
